It is difficult not to love this Canadian comedy champion. She is warm, easily fascinated, and has an adorable ´did I just say that?´ reaction after some of her racier punchlines. Smith's show is a surprisingly perky exploration of comedy's role in a world consumed by intolerance and uncertainty. It wanders through questions on identity and the interstices of gender in society, but in a way that is packed with brash commentary, clever wordplay, and pretention-free enthusiasm. By her own admission, DeAnne might just be the worst gender-queer, lesbian, tortured slam-poet, hipster vegan in the world. Elle parvient même à négocier des sujets comme la politique américaine avec une créativité inattendue qui la distingue des autres comédiens qui prennent pour matériel les profondeurs obscures du zeitgeist géopolitique.
