Gunda est une truie, une parmi des centaines de millions dans le monde entier. Elle vit dans une ferme en Norvège, s'occupe de ses petits et partage le pâturage avec quelques poules et un petit troupeau de vaches. Ils vaquent tous à leurs occupations quotidiennes, ils picorent, broutent et se roulent dans la boue, ils attrapent des vers et chassent les mouches. Mais à quoi pensent-ils ? Plus d'un milliard de porcs et de vaches, ainsi que plus de 20 milliards de poulets sont élevés par des sociétés industrialisées. Nous sommes tous conditionnés à ignorer leur sensibilité et à les considérer comme des ressources passives.
